We are honored to announce a special issue of the Journal of Membrane Science and Research entitled "A tribute to Marek Bryjak's pioneering vision in membrane science and research", which is devoted to the latest advances made so far and the future prospects of membrane research in the light of the outstanding contribution of our colleague from the Department – Professor Marek in Bryjak in this field. The special issue honors the Professor's scientific work in connection with the celebration of the Professor's 70^th birthday.
